Kamila Polívková

Kamila Polívková is a costume and set designer, director - born in 1975. She created costume and set designs for dozens of Czech and international productions, many of which was awarded and played at major international festivals and stages. From 2004 to 2012 she worked at the Prague Chamber Theatre (Divadlo Komedie) led by Dušan D. Pařízek as a costume and set designer, since 2007 she has also created graphic design and photography for this ensemble. With director Dušan D. Pařížek, she regularly collaborates in German-speaking countries (Salzburger Festspiele, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Schauspiel Hannover, Rezidenztheater München, Burghteater Wien, Volkstheater Wien and others). After her first production project at the Theatre at 7 and a Half Brno, she made her directorial debut at the Prague Chamber Theatre at the beginning of the 2009/2010 season, and is currently working as the associate director at the Studio Hrdinů theatre in Prague, where she has, among other things, staged two international theatre projects with a Czech-Icelandic team. She staged Darja Stocker's play Precious at the Schauspielhaus Zürich for the international festival Transit Zürich, and has also worked as a director at the National Theatre Brno, the National Theatre Prague, and HaDivadlo in Brno, among others. In the 2022/2023 season she is preparing her own productions for the Slovak National Theatre and Nationaltheater Mannheim.
