Klaus von Heydenaber was born in Braunschweig in 1982, and studied music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. Over the course of his long-standing collaboration with Viktor Bodó, he has composed incidental music for numerous productions, including for Schauspielhaus Graz, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Basel Theatre, and the Mainz State Theatre. In Budapest, he has also composed music for the Comedy Theatre and the Katona József Theatre. In 2014, he staged Herzbetrunken (“Heart-drunk”), his first production, in Graz, setting 15 poems by Joachim Ringelnatz to music for two actors. Since 2013, von Heydenaber has led his own Munich-based jazz orchestra, for which he writes the compositions. He first joined Schauspiel Stuttgart for Viktor Bodós’s production of The Exterminating Angel.
