Juli Balázs

Juli Balázs graduated in stage and costume design from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 2011, and has since worked at several European theaters, including the Volkstheater Wien, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Burgtheater Wien and Schauspielhaus Hamburg. Balázs is vice president of the Hungarian OISTAT Centre, an organisation for scenographers, technicians and set designers, organising exhibitions and conferences for the Hungarian and international theatre branches. In addition to her engagements for theatre productions, she creates immersive installations, working with video projections. She is currently pursuing a PhD in media design at the Moholy Nagy University of Arts and Design in Budapest, exploring immersive theater and the use of multimedia and virtual reality in theatrical productions.
