Sarah Franke*

Sarah Franke was born in Munich in 1985 and studied drama at the Folkwang University of the Arts from 2006 to 2010. While still a student, she appeared on stage at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. Subsequent permanent engagements took her to Schauspiel Leipzig, Schauspiel Hannover and the Volksbühne Berlin. In 2012, Franke was nominated Best Emerging Female Actor in the Theater heute critics' poll, and she received the Young Talent Award at Schauspiel Hannover in 2015. Franke has worked with directors such as Sebastian Hartmann, Sascha Hawemann, Alexander Eisenach, Thorleifur Örn Arnarsson, Martin Laberenz, Lucia Bihler and, on several occasions, with Dušan David Parízek. She is a guest actor at the Schauspielhaus Stuttgart in Parízek's production of Annette: An Epic Heroine.
