Burkhard C. Kosminski

Burkhard C. Kosminski was born in Schwenningen and studied acting and directing in New York. He has directed at the Berliner Schaubühne, Schauspiel Frankfurt and Staatsschauspiel Dresden. From 2001 to 2006, Kosminski was managing director and part of the artistic direction team at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Following a stint as acting director at the Mannheim National Theatre, he became managing intendant in 2013. While in Mannheim, Kosminski was also artistic director of the International Schillertage and, in 2014, the artistic director of the Festival der Welt together with Matthias Lilienthal. Kosminski has been the intendant at Schauspiel Stuttgart since the 2018-19 season.
