Florian Etti

Florian Etti was born in Lindau and studied languages and art in Berlin, and stage design in Cologne. From 1986 to 1988, he was assistant stage designer at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Since then, he has worked as a stage and costume designer for ballet, opera and theatre productions in Frankfurt, Hannover, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Mannheim, Cologne, Bochum, Mainz, Bremen, Dortmund, Dresden, Kassel, Bonn, Karlsruhe, Zürich and Basel. His work has appeared at Schaubühne Berlin and the Burgtheater in Vienna, as well as in Malmö und Helsinki. Etti has worked with Karin Beier, Werner Schroeter, Anna Bergmann, Alexander Kubelka, Günter Krämer, Sönke Wortmann, Martin Schläpfer and Itay Tiran, amongst others. He has worked in close artistic collaboration with Burkhard C. Kosminski for many years. In the 2020-21 season, he designed the set for Kosminski’s production of The Visit.
