Emilian Gatsov

Before starting composing music for stage productions Emilian Gatsov studied philosophy. He began his career in 2003 and since then has composed soundtracks for over 80 stage projects, both theatre and dance productions in Bulgaria and internationally. His work blurs the lines between music composition and sound design. In Germany, he is a frequent collaborator with Ligna Medien- und Performance kollektiv in their interactive performances. Emilian Gatsov worked for productions of the Bulgarian National Theatre and the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, Mousonturm Frankfurt, Les Brigitinnes Brussels, Bodemuseum and Uferstudios in Berlin, Impulstanz Vienna. He has been 5 times nominee and one time winner of the Icarus award of the Union of the Bulgarian Actors.
