Falk Richter

Falk Richter, born in 1969, is one of the most renowned German directors and playwrights of his generation. After studying Direction in Hamburg, from 1994 onwards, he began staging his works in various prominent theaters such as the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Théâtre National de Bruxelles, the National Theater Oslo, the Schaubühne Berlin, at the Salzburg Festival as well as the Festival d'Avignon. In 2018, he was named director of the year by the German magazine Theater heute. With his production The Silence at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz he got elected for the Berlin Theatertreffen.
