Philipp Büttner

Philipp Büttner studied musical theatre at the Bavarian Theatre Academy from 2010-2014 and received a scholarship from the German Stage Association in 2013. The same year, he won the National Singing Competition Berlin, where he had already won a promotional prize in 2011.
In 2016 Büttner took on the title role in the Disney musical Aladdin at the Theater Neue Flora in Hamburg, with which he moved to Stuttgart in 2019. From 2021-2022 he toured the Queen musical We Will Rock You in the lead role of Galileo, and in both years played the title role in Goethe! at the Bad Hersfeld Festival. He also toured Europe as a soloist with Disney in Concert. 2022 - 2023 Philipp embodied the role of Gabe Godmann in Next to Normal at the Staatstheater Kassel. In the summer of 2023 he took on two leading roles at once: Frank Abagnale Jr in Catch Me If You Can at Theater Magdeburg and the title role in the musical Robin Hood in Fulda. Büttner also synchronised Jason Derulo in the role of Rum Tum Tugger (speech and vocals) in the film adaptation of the musical Cats, as well as Aaron Tveit in the series Schmigadoon! and Schmicago! (speech and vocals).
