Amélie Niermeyer

Amélie Niermeyer acted as Artistic Director of the Freiburg Theatre from 2002 to 2006 and from 2006 to 2011 of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Thereafter, she has worked as a freelance director at the Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, in Basel and Los Angeles as well as at the Bavarian and Vienna State Operas. She is head of the drama and directing programme at the Mozarteum Salzburg. At Schauspiel Stuttgart, she directed Die Präsidentinnen by Werner Schwab in the 22/23 season.
