Spoken Arts Festival 2026

Organized by the Academy for the Spoken Word, the Spoken Arts Festival celebrates the diversity and richness of artistic expression centered on the spoken word, bringing together music, literature, theater, performance, and dance across genres. The theme of this year’s festival – Hope Calls for Action – highlights the social movements we wish to explore in these times of profound upheaval, so that we do not succumb to despair and fatalism, but instead actively resist them.
