Sven Michelson
Sven Michelson was born in Luxembourg and works as a musician, composer, sound designer, and DJ. Since 2010 he has worked on theatre productions at numerous renowned venues in the German-speaking world, including Schauspiel Leipzig, Schauspiel Stuttgart, Staatstheater Mainz, Schauspiel Köln, Staatsschauspiel Hannover, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Staatstheater Kassel, Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Burgtheater Wien, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Berliner Ensemble, and Volksbühne Berlin. He maintains regular working relationships with directors including Robert Borgmann and Albrecht Hirche.
In 2014 he was invited to the Berliner Theatertreffen with Uncle Vanya, and in 2015 with Die Unverheiratete (directed by Robert Borgmann). Since 2011 he has also worked continuously with playwright and director Alexander Eisenach. Together with Benedikt Brachtel he composed the music for the Residenztheater productions Der Schiffbruch der Fregatte Medusa, Götz von Berlichingen, and The Bavarian Dream.
In addition to his theatre work, Michelson is active as a drummer, has contributed to numerous recording productions, and composes music for radio plays, short films, and sound installations.
