Yoav Cohen
Yoav Cohen, born in Israel, is a video designer and director. He studied New Media and Experimental Film at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and graduated from Sam Spiegel Film and Television School. Cohen develops videos for performance art, architectural spaces, theatre, opera, dance and music. He specialises in projects integrated into their environments, creating work that involves highly complex post-production processes, video mapping and interaction. His work for Harold and Maude at the Beersheba Theatre won him the Theatre Award for Best Video Design. He has also designed videos for productions including Murder at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus, The House of Bernarda Alba at Kiel Theatre, and the musical Bharati 2 at the Grand Rex theatre in Paris. His short film Revenge won first prize at the Soria Festival in Spain. In the 2021/22 season, he worked on the video designs for Ökozid and Incendies.
