Clemens J. Setz

Clemens J. Setz was born in Graz in 1982, where he studied mathematics and German studies. Today, he lives in Vienna as a translator and freelance writer. His texts address pressing questions of the digital age through clearly structured, subtle dialogue. In 2020, he received the Heinrich-von-Kleist-Preis, followed by the Georg-Büchner-Preis in 2021. Two of his plays, both premiered at Schauspiel Stuttgart, were invited to the Mülheimer Theatertage: The Deviations and The Triumph of the Clematis in Europe.
