Sacred Monsters
(Parts of Medea)
Schauspielhaus
The myth of Medea echoes through the ages. Her voice is echoed in women of past and present, in mothers and lovers, in followers and resisters, in those who have loved, sacrificed, been betrayed and betrayed others themselves: historical and contemporary figures speak in a polyphonic chorus of exile and motherhood, of hostage-taking, ideological blindness and the longing for belonging.
