Numerous engagements followed, including at the Zurich Neumarkt Theatre and Schauspielhaus Zurich, as well as at theatres in Basel, Mainz, Darmstadt, Oberhausen, and at the Vienna Volkstheater. Schubert has acted in productions including those of Wilfried Minks, Franz Xaver Kroetz and Anna Badora, and has worked with the director Burkhard C. Kosminski, whom she met in Düsseldorf, for almost 20 years. After several guest engagements at the Mannheim National Theatre, she joined the ensemble in 2009/10. Schubert transferred to the Schauspiel Stuttgart ensemble in 2018/19, at the beginning of Burkhard C. Kosminski's artistic directorship.
