Marietta Meguid was born in Stuttgart and studied drama at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, graduating in 1989. Her first theatrical engagement was under Friedrich Schirmer at the Württembergische Landesbühne in Esslingen. They transferred together to the Theatre Freiburg for four years, and then went on to work at Schauspiel Stuttgart. Meguid remained in Stuttgart under the artistic direction of Hasko Weber and Armin Petras, working with directors such as Jürgen Kruse, Stephan Kimmig, Christof Loy, Hasko Weber, Volker Lösch, Christian Weise, Laura Tetzlaff, Sibylle Berg, Catja Baumann, Stephan Pucher, Tom Stromberg, Kay Voges, Jan Bosse and Armin Petras. She also developed a project with SheShePop. The Egyptian-Swabian actor lives with her family in the Stuttgart basin, and joined the Schauspiel Stuttgart ensemble in 1993.
