Gwendolyne Melchinger

Gwendolyne Melchinger was born in Kassen and studied German and drama at the University of Vienna. From 2001 to 2005, she was employed as assistant dramaturg and dramaturg at the Burgtheater in Vienna. She went on to work as a dramaturg at Schauspiel Essen and the Theater in der Josefstadt, and lectured at the Institute for Theater, Film and Media Studies Vienna. She was a dramaturg at Schauspielhaus Zurich from 2013 to 2018, as well as a specialist for the Bachelor and Master programme in directing at Zurich University of the Arts. She has been a dramaturg at Schauspiel Stuttgart since the 2018/2019 season.
